Easy Houseplants

Earthsense

Unfortunately, not all of us have a green thumb, so keeping plants alive can be stressful.  Nevertheless, here are a few houseplants that are surprisingly easy to maintain.

Aloe is an easy plant to keep alive, and it’s great to have in the kitchen for any minor burn.  The cast iron plant can withstand low light, low humidity and a wide range of temperatures.  Start with a large plant because the cast iron grows slowly.  The snake plant, known for is leathery sword shaped leaves that grow edged in yellow or white is great for the beginner because it tolerates neglect, but responds well to good care.  And the Chinese evergreen with its arching lance-shaped leaves variegated with silver, gray, or shades of green is tolerant of many climates and is slow growing, so it won’t overgrow it’s new home.
