The Department of Health and Environmental Control has taken numerous steps in helping South Carolina residents go green and their Materials Exchange databaseis no exception. Residents and businesses can use the Materials Exchange to locate spare items such as packing pallets, textiles, batteries, plastics, rubber, fiberglass, and even demolition debris.  Companies will list the item being offered, their location, and some contact information so that reusable items don’t end up in the landfill.  Some of the more recent listings include corrugated boxes, coated paper trim, polystyrene pallets, felt padding, wood crates, antiseptic foam instant hand sanitizer, automotive vinyl trim, and the list goes on.
