Exercise Outdoors - Bike


We’ve been talking this week about ways to take your workout outdoors and enjoy the sunny weather of South Carolina.  Mountain or trail biking can be a nice break from that stationary bike at the gym, but before you buy expensive gear, borrow or rent until you know what your needs will be.

Once you have the bike, find an appropriate trail like flat multi-track trails for beginners.  Then, take a few minutes in the parking lot to get acclimated with the bike and make sure all your gear is in working order.  Take a buddy for safety and bring a pack with water, a trail map, cell phone, and first aid kit.  Take your time, be prepared to get dirty, and remember to bring out any trash you take in with you.  Get out there and have fun!
