Smoothies and Heart Health 2


Today, it’s all about berries!  Try this Berry Bliss smoothie to give you a nice energy boost while satisfying that insatiable sweet tooth!  Start with one cup of blackberries, one cup of raspberries, a frozen banana, half a cup of almond milk, and a quarter cup of orange juice.  Combine ingredients in your food processor or blender until you reach the desired consistency and enjoy! 

You can find berries in your grocer’s frozen section and these are great because they’ll keep for months in the freezer, but try to buy local produce whenever possible!  And today’s heart healthy tip: change your scenery, whether for lunch or at dinner time, move the meal outdoors.  Walk to the park and enjoy the afternoon sun or take bike ride to a nice dinner location.  Get out there and get moving!
