Young and old bluegrass virtuosos join forces

Andy Statman is well known as a clarinet player in the Klezmer and jazz circuit. But decades ago, he was wowing musicians and audiences alike by playing bluegrass mandolin.

Early this year, a 22-year-old bluegrass guitar player named Jake Eddy contacted Statman and asked him if he’d like to play bluegrass together.
