Richland Recycle Event September 20, 2014

Richland County is making is easy for residents to recycle electronics with a special Electronic Recycling Event tomorrow, Saturday September 20th from 7 am to 10:30 am at Brookland Baptist Church Northeast Campus, 1203 Summit Parkway. The event is a joint effort between Richland County Solid Waste and Recycling and the Summit Community Association.  In addition to recycling unwanted electronics, residents will have the opportunity to drop off paper that needs to be shredded.  No commercial materials will be accepted, nor will items or units that use Freon, but residents can drop off computers and computer accessories, televisions, stereos, household electronics, VCRs, DVD players, power tools, radios, fax machines, small appliances, telephones (land and cell phones), Scrap metal, including stoves, washers, dryers, bicycles, and lawn mowers (must be free of gas and oil), Car tires and light truck tires or smaller.
