  State House Week, with host Russ McKinney, focuses on the House of Representatives and Senate sessions, House and Senate committee meetings, public hearings and other South Carolina Government events.

The S.C. Senate failed to set the pending road funding bill for priority debate, thus putting its' chances for passage this year in jeopardy.

Another handgun bill is up for debate in the S.C. House, and battle lines are being drawn in the Senate around an $800 Million road funding bill.

    The 2017 session of the S.C. General Assembly begins Jan. 10th with lawmakers facing a number of un-answered questions.

This year’s session of the S.C. General Assembly has come to an end.  In the final days state lawmakers finally passed a major roads funding bill.  Russ McKinney has this round up of the week of this year's session.

With one week remaining in the 2016 legislative session, many priority matters for this year remain un-settled.  Russ McKinney gives us the rundown on this week in South Carolina politics and what to expect in the final week of the legislative session.
