Our next guest says that during his 30 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry, he has noticed that many small independent retailers do not negotiate lease terms as effectively as larger companies. Which is probably understandable because the big companies usually have staff and experience that can provide leverage in their favor. But he also says, it doesn't have to be that way...that the little guy can win, too.
