  Names like David Shi and John Johns are a part of the illustrious past at Furman University and in March Dr. Elizabeth Davis was officially installed to the Presidency of the Greenville institution. Join us and hear her comments about the present and future of Furman on this week's podcast.

  The annual James Otis Lecture, now in its sixth year sponsored by the South Carolina Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates, returns to the State House this year where two juniors and seniors from each high school around the state have been invited to attend. These "James Otis Scholars" hear an interesting and thought-provoking program on the United States Constitution, a federal government mandate for all schools receiving federal funds.
