Donate Those Gently Used Toys

Chances are your children or grandchildren have outgrown a few toys over the years.  But these toys often have a lot of life left, so don’t throw them out with the trash!  Think about taking clean toys to a children’s hospital or the children’s wing of your local hospital to help spread joy.

Talk to the children’s church director at your church to see if they accept toy donations, or contact an orphanage or family homeless shelter to see how to donate toys. And when in doubt remember that you can always donate these items to the Salvation Army, Goodwill, or any other thrift shop near you.  Get your kids involved: plan a yearly toy clean-out to teach youngsters the power of giving back to your community.  Find us online at south Carolina public radio dot org.
