Refrigerator Upgrades

Have you got an older refrigerator that works just fine, but looks a little less than attractive?  There’s no need to replace an appliance that still has a few years of life left.  So try these ideas for upgrading that old refrigerator.

For an easy spot to write lists and dinner menus, paint your refrigerator with chalk board paint.  Quick tip: you’ll want to lightly sand the surface and wipe with a damp cloth before painting.  Or shop for contact paper or peel and stick wallpaper to add graphic appeal.  Clean the fridge first, and then apply the contact paper from the bottom to the top, smoothing bubbles as you go.  Or go for a cottage look by using polyurethane glue to attach bead board panels and trim to your old refrigerator.  Add molding and iron hardware to complete the look.
