A leafy green salad is a delicious appetizer or delicious meal on its own, but the ingredient that can make or break a great salad is the dressing!  Whether it’s Thousand Island, Ranch, or acidic vinaigrette, you can make your own salad dressingat home to save money.

Thousand Island is as easy as whisking together half a cup mayonnaise, half a cup ketchup, and two tablespoons of pickle relish.  But if you really want to wow your family make this Tahini Dill dressing.  Whisk together one quarter cup fresh lemon juice, three tablespoons Tahini, three tablespoons water, one tablespoon chopped fresh dill, a pinch cayenne pepper, and Kosher salt, to taste.  For less acidic vinaigrette, use three tablespoon fresh Meyer lemon juice, three tablespoons olive oil, kosher salt and black pepper, to taste.
