SCDNR Fishing Tackle Loan Program

South Carolina offers an abundance of fresh and salt water activities, and if you’ve ever wanted to try your hand at fishing, the Department of Natural Resources has a fishing tackle loan program that might be just right for you. A day of fishing is a fantastic way to spend some time outdoors with your friends and family!  And DNR has provided 30 tackle loaner locations throughout the state, so get outdoors!  Not only can you borrow the rod, reel, and tackle box, but loaner program sites offer advice on what types of lures to use, how to tie knots, and how to rig a line.  So whether you’re a novice angler, or an old pro, dinner is as close as your nearest lake or river.
