In this Sonatas & Soundscapes interview that aired Tuesday, June 7th, host Bradley Fuller hears from harpist Parker Ramsay about the unique and sometimes expectation-defying qualities of his instrument. As Parker explains, the harp's immediacy and physicality help define the sound of The Street, a set of meditations on the fourteen Stations of the Cross by composer Nico Muhly and librettist Alice Goodman which will receive its US premiere during Spoleto Festival USA. Joining Parker for the performance are narrator Marcus Amaker and eight members of the Spoleto Festival Chorus.
