SC Student Finishes 2nd in National Youth Business Plan Competition

Youth entrepreneurship in South Carolina made history recently when our next guest, an eighteen year old College of Charleston freshman from Fort Mill, SC placed runner-up in the 2014 NFTE National Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge in Silicon Valley.

Mike Switzer interviews Jesse Horine, founder of SouthernFly, a brand he created for an online store for fly fishing enthusiasts.  He won a prize package worth $5,000 at the National level and prior to that placed 2nd in the YEScarolina State Business Plan Competition in June winning $2,000 seed money plus the all expenses paid trip to the Silicon Valley Nationals.
