Defense attorneys for Lucas Rousso, 30, waived Friday’s expected bond hearing in federal court in Greenville.
Rousso will remain in custody as the case against him proceeds. The Easley man is charged with making threats online to commit a mass shooting targeting people of the Jewish faith.
According to the affidavit, Rousso made a series of threats between June and December on his YouTube channel. Google contacted federal authorities on Monday with details of threats and obscenities.
The FBI Columbia Field Office, the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office, and the Easley Police Department investigated the case.
If convicted, Rousso faces up to five years in federal prison and a fine of up to $250,000.
