Doctors, medical professionals and researchers from the Medical University of South Carolina will be featured weekly in a series of radio interviews on South Carolina Public Radio called Health Focus.

Award winning public broadcaster Bobbi Conner will host this series of health and medical features, covering a wide array of topics.

  • This week Bobbi Conner talks with Dr. Alec DeCastro about exercise and physical fitness for individuals with chronic health conditions. Dr. DeCastro is an Associate Professor and Chief of Primary Care Sports Medicine in the Department of Family Medicine at MUSC.
  • This week Bobbi Conner talks with Dr. Michael Field about the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and management of atrial fibrillation. Dr. Field is a Professor in the College of Medicine and a cardiologist and heart rhythm expert who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of atrial fibrillation at MUSC.
  • This week Bobbi Conner talks with Dr. Nichole Tanner about the importance of annual lung cancer screening, with details about who is eligible under the new U.S. Preventive Services Task Force guidelines. Dr. Tanner is an Associate Professor in the College of Medicine and Co-Director of the Lung Cancer Screening Program at Hollings Cancer Center at MUSC.
