Winter Storm Fern is being linked to to the death of an elderly Upstate resident.
The South Carolina Department of Public Health reports that a 96-year-old Greenwood County woman died of hypothermia during the weekend winter storm.
The death has been confirmed by the Greenwood County coroner. Additional information has not yet been released.
