The city's Homeless Services and Community Development Departments will collect the requested necessities during the one-day drive in April.

The City of Columbia will host a one-day donation drive in April to support the area's homeless population. The event is a partnership between the city's Homeless Services and Community Development departments.

On Wednesday, April 8, staff and volunteers will be collecting essential items such as personal hygiene products, household supplies, bedding, towels and other basic living needs. A complete list can be found on the City of Columbia's website.

All donations will directly support the city's homeless and Rapid Shelter operations. Items will be collected on April 8 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 1505 Taylor St., Columbia.
