Brock Turner Freed From Jail After Serving Half Of 6-Month Sentence

Three months after receiving a lenient punishment for sexually assaulting an unconscious woman at Stanford University, Turner left Santa Clara County's main jail Friday.

The capacity of guns' magazines will now be limited to 10 bullets, and background checks will be required to buy ammunition. The new laws also target "straw purchasing" guns for other people.

Journalists gather around an Indian police vehicle carrying seven people accused in the 2018 rape and murder of an 8-year-old girl in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. Six men were convicted and one was acquitted on Monday. Another suspect will be tried in juvenile court.

Three of the men were sentenced to life, while the other three were given five-year prison terms for their roles in the January 2018 crime that horrified the country and sparked nationwide protests.
