Fattening the Poor

Michele Norris talks with scholar Douglas Besharov of the American Enterprise Institute about his piece in The Washington Post op-ed section in which he argues that federal feeding programs are helping poor people become obese. Besharov says the problem today is not enough food, but too much of the wrong kinds of food -- foods high in fat and calories. He says the solution is to modernize the government's food assistance programs.
