Are you looking for fun ways to cool off and spend time with the kids on a hot summer night or even this weekend?  How about make your own popsicles?  Many stores carry Popsicle molds at reasonable prices or you can make mini popsicles in an old ice tray.

And the flavor possibilities are endless!  Just be sure to clear out enough room in your freezer and you’re ready to go.  Juice concentrates make a great flavor base for Popsicles, but can freeze rock hard.  So add a cup less water to the mixture for a softer pop.  Root Beer is also a fun flavor, but be sure to leave extra room in the mold for the fizzy liquid to expand when freezing.  And remember, the more creative you can be, the more fun it is to taste test your yummy creations!  Think carrot juice with pineapple chunks, lemonade or limeade popsicles, puréed strawberry and banana popsicles…fill your freezer with these yummy confections!
