Reuse Paper for Wrapping Paper

Earthsense

Unwrapping gifts this season is so much fun, but that gift wrap accounts for much of the twenty five per cent spike in waste during the holiday season.  So reuse paper you already have to avoid extra waste.

Have you got any wall paper left over from a home improvement project?  This is great wrapping paper.  Or how about the stacks of coloring pages you’ve collected from your children over the past year?  These are good for wrapping presents to teachers and grandparents.  The calendar you’ve used over the past year has decorative pictures that make artful gift wrap, and your glossy magazines and catalogs can be re-purposed as wrapping, too.  Out of date maps are fun for the road warrior, and even those paper bags and newspapers going out in the recycling can be reused to wrap a gift.  Or you could skip the paper al-together and use dish cloths or handkerchiefs as a keepsake gift wrapping.
