Chemicals in Cosmetics

Earthsense

Our bodies absorb up to 60% of what we put on our skin, and children’s bodies absorb 40-50% more than adults.  From parabens to phthalates, sulfates and more, beauty and skin care products contain compounds that can be potentially hazardous to your health

The number of chemicals we are exposed to every day in beauty products alone is staggering, and some of these compounds have been linked to breast cancer, hormone imbalances, birth deformities, early puberty, and other chronic illnesses.  Don’t make the mistake of thinking that just because it’s on the store shelf its safe- that’s simply not the case.  Luckily, many manufacturers have heard consumers’ demands for safe products and are creating safe and earth friendly products.
