Chamber of Commerce weather is welcoming fans and players to the 90th Masters Tournament, offering a stark contrast to the more turbulent weather experienced during recent events.

Tournament play is slated to begin on Thursday at the Augusta National Golf Club and wrap up on Sunday.

An unusually strong ridge of high pressure is in control of the weather, which will mean dry air and a lack of any chance of precipitation for the tournament’s four rounds.

Forecast models show dew point levels falling below 50 degrees, which will be quite comfortable for the around 200,000 attendees.

The only impacts from Mother Nature could be the winds, with gusts as high as 30 miles per hour on Wednesday.

High temperatures are expected range between 70 to 80 degrees through the week, with the weekend becoming a bit toasty, with highs in the 84-to-88-degree range.

Typically, a day in early April along the Savannah River Valley starts out around 49 degrees, with a high temperature of 77 degrees, so all of the practice rounds will take place in conditions that are cooler than average.

Seeing an entire week without precipitation along the Georgia-South Carolina border is a bit of a rarity, as less than 20% of all tournaments have reported no rainfall.

Just last year, heavy rain impacted the practice rounds, with gusty winds and showers affecting play on Friday.

Despite the weather, the tournament finished on time, with Rory McIlroy winning after a sudden-death playoff on Sunday.

Last year's event was the first since Hurricane Helene damaged the course in September 2024, but despite the altered vegetation, the event went on without significant disruptions.

And in 2023, several large pine trees fell along the 17th green during the second round but miraculously missed hitting any spectators.

In the event of significant weather, officials say message boards will display weather warnings and advise fans of impending conditions.

Once play is suspended, officials advise everyone to seek shelter and stay clear of tall trees, lakes and other open areas.

If weather delays are significant, tournament organizers can schedule play to finish on Monday, which has only happened five times, with the last occurrence back in 1983.

According to the Augusta National Golf Club, refunds for tickets are not offered in the event of weather delays.
