Armadillos have landed in Ohio

The discovery of a roadkill armadillo in Ohio implies the armored mammals may be migrating to the state. Armadillos have been steadily moving north in the U.S. for the past century or so, leaving their hot, dry habitats behind.

We speak with Tereza Jezkova, associate professor of biology at Miami University in Ohio, about why these animals might be moving north and whether they’re there to stay.
