Song Travels has been enthusiastically received by stations:

“Radio at its most artistic is great conversation. Song Travels delivers…the music and conversation work well together. I wish more people would let go of their theatrical voice and have the conversation. This show is what we should be about.” –Caroline Austin, Station Manager, WFSU, Tallahassee

"I love that show SO MUCH. It is so authentic, endearing. It feels like I'm sitting in the room with two friends. I feel like an insider. I'm hanging out with friends who are these fabulous musicians including Michael. It feels so intimate,—my own personal concert, a sneak peek behind the curtain. It's BRILLIANT. I am a BIG FAN. It's amazing. It's one of the best new shows out there. It has totally enchanted me!" -Roxanna Caldwell, Program Director, WFYI, Indianapolis

Host Michael Feinstein, with his encyclopedic music knowledge, is eager to connect all the dots in creating a portrait of America in music. He has the trust of both his guests and listeners:

“(His) warmth, style and wit illuminate... He honors the legacy and contributes to the future of the art form. Who could ask for anything more?” - Lois Reitzes, Program Director at WABE, Atlanta.

By presenting programming that is both entertaining and intelligent, the series foster a deeper appreciation for American music among an expanding audience. Song Travels continues to combine fresh performances and perspectives from high profile guests with archival recordings that reflect their journey in the music. Each guest artist brings something unique: the architects of Motown, the Nashville sound, the composers behind Hollywood’s soundtracks, and even traditional sounds from Hawaii are all at home on Song Travels.
