  • Governor Henry McMaster is urging the General Assembly to spend $200 Million dollars in next year's state budget to increase teacher pay and for lawmakers spend some $193 Million dollars to reduce the state's personal income tax rate.
  • State Attorney General Alan Wilson reported, at the end of 2024 there were 62 cases of human-trafficking pending in the state court system.
  • Disaster assistance is now available for South Carolina to supplement the recovery efforts in places affected by severe storms and flooding from this past November.
  • Prisma Health will restrict patient visitation from children under age 16- its because of increased flu and respiratory illnesses.
