Town Hall
Thursday, community leaders and the families of victims of the Mother Emanuel Church shooting came together for a town hall. Much of last night’s conversation was about systemic racism, education and affordable housing.

Scheduled Execution
Tonight, the state is scheduled to perform its sixth execution since it resuming last year. 57 year old Stephen Stanko is scheduled to die by lethal injection some time after 6 pm.

National Foreclosure Rates
National foreclosure rates in the first quarter of 2025 stayed relatively low. But South Carolina also held a dubious distinction.

Sheriff's Salary
Spartanburg County Council voted Wednesday during a special meeting to cut the next sheriff’s salary by 50%, a move that would make the future sheriff one of the lowest-paid law enforcement leaders in the Upstate.

The cut comes just days before candidates can file for election- and less than a month after former sheriff Chuck Wright’s sudden resignation, who is currently being investigated by the FBI and Ethics Commission.
