The Education Beat: Building School Culture as a Family, Pt. I

As we investigated excellent schools in our Beating the Odds Investigative Study, we noticed that there was something special, something noticeably different, about the cultures at these schools. When we asked members of the school community to describe that difference in one word, the word we heard the most was “family.” We’ll speak with two leaders about how they supported a school culture where everyone feels committed to supporting everyone else’s success.
