Goodwill to launch Tech Academy in Greenville, Columbia

Goodwill Industries of Upstate/Midlands South Carolina announced March 20 that it will launch its Tech Academy in Greenville and Columbia, beginning March 25.

Taught by STEM U, a company that specializes in connecting partners to science, technology, engineering and math, the program will give participants an opportunity to earn industry-recognized certifications, including CompTIA, IT Fundamentals, A+ and Network+.

Goodwill is committed to providing accessible pathways to meaningful careers, and the launch of the Tech Academy underscores our dedication to addressing the evolving needs of the workforce,” said Monique McDaniels, Goodwill vice president of community and workforce development. “As a leader in workforce development in South Carolina, we are excited to empower individuals with the skills and certifications necessary to thrive in the dynamic world of cybersecurity.”

The Tech Academy classes will be held at:

  • Goodwill’s Youth and Family Services Center, 45 E. Main St., Greenville
  • Goodwill’s Hardscrabble Job Connection, 111 Highland Center Drive, Columbia
