Motorists in Allendale County alerted to River Road bridge repairs

The South Carolina Department of Transportation will close River Road over Watchcaw Creek in mid October.

Beginning Tuesday, October 14, The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) will close River Road over Watchcaw Creek in Allendale County for bridge repairs.

As part of this closure a detour route will be set up. SCDOT urges drivers to slow down and use caution when traveling near the work zone.

Repairs are expected to be complete in December; however, and exact date has not been given.
