Motorists entering I-26 from I-20 are urged to use extra caution in the area overnight Tuesday because of a change in the normal traffic pattern.
The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) will temporarily close the I-20
Westbound ramp to I-26 Westbound (Exit 64B) from 11 p.m. tomorrow - 5 a.m. Wednesday. This temporary closure will allow crews to complete construction activities related to the Carolina Crossroads Project.
Drivers traveling from I-20 Westbound to I-26 Westbound will continue along I-20 Westbound and take Exit 64A to I-26 Eastbound, then take Exit 107B to I-20 Eastbound, and exit at 64B to I-26 Westbound. Detour signs will alert drivers to these changes.
SCDOT asks that drivers slow down and pay attention when driving near a work zone.
