Municipal Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 4. Before voters head to the polls, the South Carolina Election Commission (SEC) is providing important reminders to ensure a smooth voting experience.
Polling places will open at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. on Tuesday. Anyone in line before close will be allowed to vote.
Voters must present one of the following forms of a current and valid photo ID:
- S.C. Driver’s License
- S.C. Department of Motor Vehicles ID Card
- S.C. Voter Registration Card with Photo
- Federal Military ID
- U.S. Passport
If you're unsure of where to vote, you can find your polling place by visiting scVOTES.gov or by contacting your voter registration office.
If you’re voting absentee, you must return your absentee ballot to your county voter registration office no later than 7 p.m. on Nov. 4 for your ballot to count.
