The South Carolina Department of Social Services announced Thursday that the agency has received authorization to begin issuing full Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits for the month of November.

Approved and qualified South Carolinians will soon receive their full November Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits. The South Carolina Department of Social Services (SCDSS) announced Thursday that benefits would be available on EBT cards Friday.

Eligible groups include:

  • Newly approved households whose benefits were authorized between October 16th and November 13th.
  • Households with a monthly issuance date between the 1st and the 14th.

SNAP recipients whose monthly issuance date falls between the 15th and the 19th will receive their November benefit on their regularly scheduled issuance date.

SCDSS will provide additional updates on their website and Twitter channel as more information is released.

SCDSS also reminds recipients to proactively protect their benefits and be mindful of fraud as the agency has no mechanism or funding to replace EBT benefits that are electronically stolen. Steps to stay safe from scams and other important reminders can be found here.
