From the Lowcountry to the Midlands, several small earthquakes have been reported in those areas so far this year.
Irmo is the latest on the map to experience the tiny tremors.
The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) reported a 1.9 magnitude earthquake near Irmo at 11:57 p.m. Sunday. On Friday night, a 2.8 magnitude earthquake was also reported shortly before 6:45 p.m.
Data from USGS also shows a number of small shakers clustered near Charleston and surrounding areas this month—ranging from about 1.5 to 2.9 in magnitude.
