The South Carolina Department of Transportation is alerting drivers to overnight road construction as part of the I-26/I-95 Interchange Project in Orangeburg and Dorchester Counties.
Beginning Tuesday, motorists can expect intermittent pacing, or slower traffic, and lane closures for the installation of girders. Lane closures will be active on I-95 throughout the course of the entire operation, which is slated for completion in November 2027.
Drivers are encouraged to use caution when traveling through the work zone.
Additional information about the project and progress updates can be found online.
