NSP Panels is expanding into South Carolina with a $4.75 million project in Mullins, aiming to create jobs and support economic growth in Marion County.

NSP Panels, an acoustic panel manufacturer, has announced it is establishing operations in Marion County, committing $4.75 million to the venture and creating 63 new jobs for South Carolinians. The manufacturer will operate out of a 129,000-square-foot facility in Mullins.

NSP Panels delivers premium acoustic paneling solutions that balance acoustic performance and visual appeal across residential and commercial spaces.

In a statement, NSP Panels CEO Ed Bass highlighted the support the company has received from state partners and Marion County. "We're excited to bring new jobs and investment to the area and look forward to building strong relationships as we grow our presence in South Carolina," Bass said.

State leaders assert that the investment builds on South Carolina's well-established manufacturing reputation and will support continued economic growth in the northeastern region of the state. South Carolina has long positioned itself as a hub for advanced manufacturing, attracting major industrial players across sectors ranging from automotive to aerospace. Additionally, state leaders affirm that investments like this position the state to draw additional businesses to the region and generate a ripple effect of job creation and community development in an area that has historically lagged behind the rest of the state economically.

To help offset building improvement costs, the Coordinating Council for Economic Development awarded Marion County a $300,000 grant in connection with the expansion. The South Carolina Coordinating Council for Economic Development has been a fixture of the state's economic landscape since the General Assembly established it in 1986. Under the administration of SC Commerce, the council serves as a unifying force among state agencies, aligning their efforts to bring fresh business investment into the state while nurturing the expansion of companies that are already here.
