The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division has charged a North Charleston man in connection with the shootings that followed South Carolina State University's homecoming game.

A North Charleston man has been arrested in connection with two separate shootings at South Carolina State University last October.

Darrell Lee Goss, Jr., 18, is charged with pointing and presenting a firearm at a person, carrying or displaying a firearm on school property and breach of peace aggravated in nature. He was arrested on Wednesday and booked at the Orangeburg County Detention Center.

Arrests warrants provided by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) show that on Oct. 4, Goss fired into a crowd of people in the parking lot of Hugine Suites student housing complex.

The shootings occurred several hours after SC State's homecoming football game. One person died and another was injured.

SLED's investigations are ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call 866-472-8477 or email tips@sled.sc.gov.
