The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) has charged Joshua Parker, 49, of Blacksburg with two counts of voyeurism and embezzlement of public funds exceeding $10,000. The former Buffalo Volunteer Fire Department chief is in jail at the Cherokee County Detention Center.

SLED arrest warrants show Parker unlawfully viewed pornographic materials of the victim and violated privacy laws by creating digital files of the victim. The alleged crimes happened between 2019 and 2022.

Parker also is accused of misappropriating funds while serving as fire chief. According to SLED, he embezzled money valued at more than $10,000 from the volunteer fire department between Jan. 2021 and Dec. 2025.
