She says the adversity she has had to overcome as a female business owner continues today but at the same time, she is happy with the direction the country is going to make women an equal part of the workforce. In fact, in 2015, a milestone was reached when more than 5 percent of federal funding – over $17 million - was provided to female-owned small businesses, the highest in our country's history.
