South Carolina Public Radio Planned Outages

Beginning February 2024, South Carolina Public Radio's broadcast transmitters will undergo upgrades to allow our network to broadcast HD signals.

Beginning February 2024, South Carolina Public Radio's broadcast transmitters will undergo upgrades to allow our network to broadcast HD signals.

For the safety of our tower crew, we will broadcast at low power during this upgrade work. Our stations may experience intermittent outages as this process occurs, with the possibility of going off the air completely for extended periods. We hope to keep these interruptions at a minimum.

During this time, you can continue to stream our stations through this website (click "All Streams" at the top of the page to find both of our formats), through the SCETV and NPR apps, and through your smart speaker.

Please see the schedule for these planned outages below. (Please note that this schedule is subject to change.)

  • WNSC (88.9 FM Rock Hill) - February 24-March 1
  • WLTR (91.3 FM Columbia) - March 31-April 5
  • WEPR (90.1 FM Greenville) - April 14-19
  • WHMC (90.1 FM Conway) - April 28-May 3
  • WSCI (89.3 FM Charleston) - May 19-24
