Repurpose Plastics

With all the misconceptions and misinformation about the recyclability of some plastics, the best way to help the environment is to reduce the use of those single time use plastic containers and repurpose the plastics you already have. Here are some ideas to repurpose those plastics so they don’t end up in the landfill or our oceans.  Milk cartons might be the most prevalent of all plastic containers, and before you send it out with the recycling, repurpose it to give it a little more life.  With a pair of scissors and a marker that milk jug could become a quasi lunch box, gift box, or storage container for a host of items.  Or cut off the bottom and make an easy-to hold funnel.  Cut a 1 inch slit opposite the handle to make a piggy bank.  Or make a bird feeder from your milk carton.
