Jim Clyburn Henry McMaster Broadband Internet Oct 3 2022.png
Congressman Jim Clyburn, D-SC, talks about closing the broadband gap in Gov. Henry McMaster’s office on Oct. 3, 2022, along with other officials who announced that since 2021 some 100,000 homes are now able to access internet in South Carolina. A combination of state and federal funds totaling $600 million over the next several years will help bring some 150,000 homes into the digital fold and essentially close the gap that the covid-19 pandemic further illuminated.

On this episode of the South Carolina Lede for October 4, 2022: a look at efforts to provide greater access to broadband internet across the Palmetto State; an update on the 2022 gubernatorial race; the latest on monkeypox; and more.
