AT Shire studied guitar performance at Muhlenberg College in Pennsylvania. He received his Audio Engineering degree from the Institute of Audio Research in New York City, then worked in many Jazz Clubs and music studios in Manhattan, including the famed Birdland Jazz Club where he worked with names such as Michael Feinstein, Arturo O’Farrill, and Wynton Marsalis.
Sean Birch brings his passion for engaging with listeners and delivering high-quality radio and podcasts to his role as Director of South Carolina Public Radio. Working with his team, he guides the creation of news and programming which informs, entertains and reflects the many communities across the Palmetto State. He also chooses the national programming heard on our stations and oversees the day-to-day operations of the radio network.
