  • South Carolina’s third largest city has a new police chief this afternoon. Roland Camacho was sworn into office Monday morning. He is the eleventh police chief for the city of North Charleston.
  • The Coast Guard rescued two people following a small plane crash near the Little Black River not far from the Georgia border
  • Officials say the single-engine Piper aircraft went down just after four Saturday afternoon. It’s registered to Averett University in Danville, Virginia.
  • Hilton Head Island Airport is one of 20 receiving 20 million dollars to Modernize Airport Owned Air Traffic Control Towers
  • Nearly 200 jobs are coming to Oconee County. Poultry processing solutions, Myen America, LLC, announced it is growing its South Carolina footprint with an expansion in the County. The company’s approximately $50 million investment will create 172 new jobs.
