Yokohama TWS North American will permanently close its Spartanburg facility by April 19, according to a WARN filing with the state Department of Employment and Workforce.
The plant’s closure will affect 90 jobs, which is the largest number of jobs lost in the state so far this year.
Yokohama TWS makes specialty tires for agricultural equipment around the world.
Tuesday’s WARN filing comes about two weeks after Boeing announced 8 permanent layoffs at its site in Charleston.
