Amazon’s last-mile delivery stations are the company's final step of the delivery process. The location in Calhoun County aims to enable faster delivery for customers across the Midlands.

Calhoun County has announced that Amazon has selected the Calhoun County I-26 Industrial Park as the site for a new 150,000 square foot last mile delivery facility. Amazon purchased the site directly from the county and already broke ground this month.

The project is expected to bring more than 100 full time and part time jobs to the region. Amazon plans to share more details on open positions once plans are finalized.

"Investments such as this contribute greatly to the economic growth of our County, region, and state," said James Haigler, chairman of Calhoun County Council," We look forward to the partnership and to the benefits to the community through good paying jobs, assets to the tax base, and engaging community involvement.”

The facility is expected to open late in 2027
