President Donald Trump will host a rally at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center Friday before the GOP primary runoff election between Sen. Darline Graham and 5th District Rep. Ralph Norman.
Trump endorsed Graham and encouraged her to run for the Senate seat after she was appointed to finish her late brother's term by the governor. Graham is scheduled to be at the rally.
“I am beyond honored and excited to welcome President Trump to South Carolina," Graham said in a statement. "President Trump gave me his complete and total endorsement because he knows I will work hard every day on the issues South Carolinians care about most in the United States Senate.”
Meanwhile, early voting for the runoff runs through Aug. 21. After that, ballots must be cast during the Aug. 25 Election Day. The winner of the election will face Democrat Dr. Annie Andrews in November’s general election.
Doors of the convention center will open at 3 p.m. The rally is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
Those wanting to attend can register for up to two tickets online.
