The county's board of elections moved to terminate director Robert Adams after a period in executive session. The board says Adams was letting unauthorized people use county vehicles and access secure voting areas and equipment.
“The director knowingly continues to fail to follow board policies, county policies," council members said. “Additionally, the director has continued to display a severe lack of organizing, planning, delegation and time management.”
Councilman Micheal Streath solely opposed the motion.
There was no further discussion on the incidents that led to the motion. There was also no discussion during the public comment period.
A replacement for Adams has not been announced.
